Puratos' science-based greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This milestone confirms that our greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets are aligned with climate science and cover both our operations and value chain, providing a clear pathway to reduce emissions across our business.
In 2024, Puratos committed to setting science-based targets through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Since then, we have continued to strengthen our climate action efforts across our operations and value chain.
In 2025, we achieved carbon neutrality in our Scope 1 and Scope 2 operations through a combination of emissions reductions, 100% renewable electricity sourcing and compensation of remaining emissions.
In early 2026, we submitted our near- and long-term greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets for validation.
Today, the validation of our near-term and long-term science-based targets by the SBTi marks the next step in that journey and provides a clear pathway for future action.
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a corporate climate action organization that enables companies and financial institutions worldwide to play their part in combating the climate crisis. It develops standards, tools and guidance that help companies set greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets and reach net-zero by 2050 at the latest.

At Puratos, validation is not the destination. It provides a clear framework for action across our operations and value chain.
Measure what matters
Better emissions data helps us understand where impact occurs across our operations, ingredients and value chain. By increasing transparency, we can focus our efforts where they matter most and support more informed conversations with customers and partners.
Act where it counts
From sourcing and manufacturing to logistics and product innovation, we focus on the areas where we can achieve the greatest emissions reductions.
Share value across the chain
More than 90% of our emissions come from Scope 3 activities, which means meaningful progress requires collaboration across the value chain. By working together with customers, suppliers and partners, we can accelerate emissions reductions and support more resilient and future-ready food systems.
More than a validation milestone, this is an opportunity to work together across the food value chain and accelerate emissions reductions where they matter most.
