Puratos is proud to announce that Laurence Herbert, Chief Marketing Officer and member of the Group Executive Committee, has been named European Marketer of the Year 2026 by the European Marketing Confederation (EMC). The award was officially presented on 23 April 2026 in Vilnius, following a highly competitive Europe‑wide selection process.
Each year, the EMC selects one outstanding marketing leader from a pool of national marketing champions nominated by leading marketing associations across Europe. Laurence represented Belgium after being put forward by the Belgian Marketing Association (BAM), following Puratos being named Belgian Marketing Company of the Year, making Puratos the first B2B company ever to receive that national recognition.
According to the EMC jury, the European Marketer of the Year title is awarded to leaders who demonstrate exceptional strategic vision, strong leadership, measurable business impact and the ability to drive sustainable growth. These criteria aim to recognize marketing that creates long‑term value for customers, organizations and society alike.
After progressing through an extensive evaluation process, including interviews with a professional European jury, Laurence Herbert was selected from ten national finalists, each already recognized as a leading marketing figure in their respective country.
Commenting on the award, Laurence Herbert emphasized the collective nature of the achievement. She highlighted that this recognition goes far beyond an individual title and reflects the work of teams across the organization.
