As Puratos, we are thrilled to unveil two new Innovation Centers-one in Montreal, Canada and the other in Cartago, Costa Rica: designed to fuel creativity, deepen collaboration, and bring the future of bakery, pastry, and chocolate-making closer to our customers around the globe. With the openings of these new centers, Puratos has 120 innovation centers all around the world to stay committed to innovation.
Montreal, Canada
Located in the heart of Quebec, the newest Innovation Center in Montreal officially opened its doors on August 20, 2025, offering an inspiring environment where bold ideas take shape. With Montreal, we are adding our third Innovation Center in Canada, after Mississauga and Chilliwack.
This center is more than just a facility. Alongside being a center where we can bring creativity and expertise for regional creations, it is also a center for where our technical expertise meets with consumer trends. Equipped with cutting-edge tools and staffed by dedicated technical advisors, the center supports product development, hands-on training, and exploration of consumer trends, both locally and regionally.
Cartago, Costa Rica
In Cartago’s Industrial Park, the Puratos Costa Rica Innovation Center has emerged as a modern space focused on co-creation. It’s tailored for bakery, patisserie, and chocolate professionals to connect, experiment, and innovate using state-of-the-art technology.
The center is also home to an upgraded R&D laboratory that enables faster, more agile development of food solutions customized for local and regional markets. The launch event welcomed regional and global Puratos leaders alongside key strategic clients and PROCOMER’s General Manager, Laura López Salazar, who delivered an inspiring reflection on innovation’s role in elevating the national food industry.
