This month, the City of Bruges presented the first official city chocolate bar called “Sjokla”.

Made with Belcolade, this new milk and dark Belgian chocolate combines fair trade with local craftsmanship.
With the promotion of a sustainable and great tasting chocolate, Bruges wants to commit its role towards the creation of a more sustainable cocoa sector and show how culinary enjoyment, local craftsmanship and sustainability go hand in hand. It’s the start of an ambitious global partnership to build a sustainable chocolate supply chain.
The City of Bruges will participate with Sjokla in the competition for “EU Cities for Fair and Ethical Trade award” with this new innovation.
