Product innovations
Over the years, our continuous efforts in R&D have resulted in a wide variety of product innovations with great nutritional value, such as:
- Puraslim - a fat alternative for rich breads and cakes that enhances the nutritional value by reducing fat and saturated fat content in line with consumer taste expectations.
- Hydro-free margarines – a range of margarines free of hydrogenated fats for use in different bakery and patisserie applications.
- Sapore Nabucco – a natural sourdough based on fermented wheat that enables you to reduce salt in bakery products up to 25% without compromising on taste.
- Solutions for up to 50% sodium reduction in breads
- Oxanti– great tasting chocolate with high, long-lasting antioxidant power and the taste consumers prefer. It has far higher antioxidant activity than standard dark chocolate and its antioxidant power remains effective for longer, thanks to a unique patent-pending conching process.
- Belcolade’s Sugar Free and No Sugar Added range – delivers the flavour and texture of authentic Belgian chocolate. The range consists on No Sugar added Milk & White chocolates, and Sugar Free Dark reference. Both are ideal to help those consumers with their quest for healthier lifestyle, or following a strict diet (e.g. diabetics), without giving up life’s little treats.
- Fabuloso – a whippable, UHT custard cream with fewer calories compared to standard custard creams.
- Satin Wholegrain Cake – a delicious wholegrain cake with 30% less fat compared to a standard cream cake.
- Puravita Breakfast – a ready-to-eat soft bread developed for a healthy breakfast containing 20% real fruit, fibres and proteins to keep you going until lunchtime.
- The Puravita Range – a range of healthy bread mixes, including:
- Puravita Wholegrain: a bread with 40% wholegrain providing vitality for the whole day.
- Puravita Omega 3: source of omega 3 coming from linseeds.
- Puravita Lady: the ideal bread for women, source of folic acid.
- Pan o Col: helps to control cholesterol thanks to the naturally occurring beta glucans in oats.

- Non-dairy toppings – a range of toppings with lower fat than dairy toppings and no cholesterol.
- Non Hydro Vegetable creams – a range of vegetable creams free of hydrogenated fats for use in different patisserie and chocolate applications.
- Montamix – a non-dairy topping with a lower fat and sugar content, but with perfect technical performances in patisserie and chocolate applications.
