Innovation has always been a driving force for Puratos. In recent years, we have invested heavily in R&D, developing exciting new solutions and delighting customers like never before.
The food industry never stands still and Puratos works hard to be at the forefront of new developments.
We invest heavily in R&D, with hundreds of people working very closely with our customers to develop and adapt new solutions, technologies and products.
The development of our products requires specialist equipment and the expertise of talented staff who are masters of ingredient and dough technologies.
To ensure we have the required expertise for every market, we have several regional R&D centers:
The Asian Development Centre, based in Guanzhou, provides support to South East Asia, China and Japan. Our team of bakery, patisserie, chocolate experts develop in-depth expertise in local bakery, patisserie and chocolate applications.
The South America R&D Centre in Sao Paulo provides support to Central and South America. Strategic regional projects are investigated in this centre.
The Group Research and Services laboratory in Groot Bijgardeen, Belgium (Brussels), performs various activities:
- Researchers undertake long-term research projects, together with the Business Units, in order to discover future game-changers.
- The laboratory provides and develops different services to the Puratos Group, like flour analysis, support on nutrition or sensorial analysis.
All these initiatives, combined with the strong drive of our 300 talented R&D people, give Puratos a unique competitive advantage, which ultimately benefits our customers.
