| 1919 | Puratos was founded in Brussels, Belgium. Our first products were ice-cream and confectionery mixes. |
| 1923 | The launch of the first ever branded bread: Pura Malte, a delicious loaf with toasted wheat germ. |
| 1944-46 | The era of the pioneers: Mr. François Van Belle and Mr. Pierre Demanet start working for Puratos. |
| 1953 | The creation of T 500, the first complete improver, marks a turning point for both the bakery industry and Puratos, who begin exports within Europe. |
| 1955 | Production of emulsifiers. |
| 1968 | Inauguration of a new factory at Groot-Bijgaarden near Brussels - still the group's headquarters today. |
| 1975 | The launch of S 500, which enabled Puratos to become a large-scale exporter, and the opening of the first bread museum. |
| 1980-88 | Diversification into chocolate (with the creation of Belcolade) and into margarine (with the launch of Aristo). |
| 1984 | Opening of the first Quality Center: a source of information and service for our customers. |
| 1988 | Opening of the first Research Center to enhance the development of R&D activities and the centralisation of our expertise. |
| 1990 | Diversification into fine patisserie (with the launch of fruit-based products) |
| 1994 | Production of enzymes and sourdoughs. |
| 1997 | Creation of the Puratos Group, a fusion between the Belgian group Coprem and the Spanish group Loredo. |
| 1998 | Acquisition of Cuore Emiliano, producer of whip toppings. |
| 2000 | Production of fresh and instant active dry yeast. |
| 2002 | The launch of Acti-Plus technology, which gives our bread improvers first-rate technological characteristics. |
| 2004 | The launch of Sublimo Glaze, the first ready-to-use cold setting glaze ever on the market. |
